Cedar Gable Pavilion with Cathedral Fireplace

At thirty six feet long, this pavilion is closer to an outbuilding than a patio cover, and it was framed accordingly: full cedar posts on stone bases, a gabled roofline that holds its own against the house, and enough covered ground to seat, cook, and serve without anything crowding the pool deck it sits beside.

The build ran from bare framing under the oaks to a finished room with a stone-faced kitchen and bar run along one side. The gallery keeps a pair of framing photographs on purpose — the bones of a structure this size are worth seeing before the ceiling closes them in.
