Concrete is the largest single surface in most backyards, which makes it the fastest way to change how the entire space feels. Stamped and stained work gives you the texture of cut stone, slate, or wood plank for a fraction of the labor of setting real units, and it does it as one continuous surface with no joints to weed and nothing to shift underfoot.
The finish is the part people see and the base is the part that decides whether they are still happy in ten years. We excavate, compact, and build a graded base before any color goes down, then reinforce the slab and place control joints where it will want to crack rather than where a crack would be ugly.
Color is built in layers. An integral or broadcast base tone, an antique release worked into the texture, accent stains where the pattern calls for depth, and a sealer chosen for the sheen you want. We pour sample boards on site so you are choosing from something you can hold up next to your stone, not from a photograph in a binder.

Ashlar slate, seamless stone, European fan, and wood plank stamps, hand detailed at edges and touch ups so the pattern never looks repeated.
Layered color
Integral color, antique release, and accent stains combined to sit with your brick and stone rather than fighting them.
Base preparation
Over excavation, compaction, and a graded base under every pour, which is what keeps a decorative slab flat in expansive clay.
Reinforcement and joint plan
Rebar or mesh set to city code, plus saw cut and tooled joints placed inside the pattern so control cuts read as design lines instead of scars.
Sealed and slip aware
Sealer selected for the sheen you want, with a slip additive on pool decks, steps, and any surface that gets wet.
Borders and banding
Contrasting borders, bands, and inlays used to frame a seating area or to tie a new pour cleanly into existing concrete.
How It Works
From consultation to walkthrough.

Free consultation and design
We look at drainage, existing slab condition, and how you move through the yard, then price a layout with the pattern and color direction included.
- 02
Samples in your light
You approve a physical sample board in your own backyard, at the time of day you use it, before a single yard of concrete is ordered.
- 03
Prep and pour
Demo, excavation, base, forms, and rebar go in first. Placement, stamping, and hand detailing happen in one continuous day per section.
- 04
Cure and seal
The slab cures, joints are cut at the right depth and timing, and sealer goes down once moisture has left the surface.

Stamped & Decorative Concrete FAQs
How soon can I use a new stamped patio?
You can walk on it in about two days and set furniture on it after a week. Sealing usually happens a week or two after the pour, once the slab has released its moisture. On any surface a vehicle will touch, we ask for a full month.
Will it crack?
All concrete moves, and in Texas soil it moves more than most. Our job is to control where. A compacted base, proper reinforcement, and joints cut at the right depth and spacing mean movement shows up at a joint inside the pattern, where it reads like a grout line.
Can you stamp over my existing patio?
Sometimes. If the existing slab is structurally sound with no meaningful settling, an overlay is a good option and saves you the demo. If it has heaved or cracked through, an overlay only repeats the problem, and we will tell you that rather than take the work.
How do I maintain it?
Rinse it, keep leaf litter from sitting wet on it through the winter, and plan on re sealing every two to three years depending on sun exposure. That is the whole list.
