Covered Cedar Pergola over an Outdoor Kitchen

This one splits the difference between a pergola and a solid cover: rafters and purlins carry a covered deck above, so the structure keeps a pergola's open framing while actually stopping rain. The dark stain was matched to the home's window trim, which is why it reads as part of the elevation rather than an addition.

Underneath, the grill and counter run sit against the house wall where the plumbing and power already were, and the seating gathers on the shaded side. One of the gallery photographs was taken from the roof during the build — the covered decking going down over the rafters is the detail most people never get to see.
